Why You Should Go To the Dentist When You Have a Tooth Ache
Well, its been an exciting and scary time up here in Ohio. A while back Corey started to get a tooth ache, he did what Corey does and ignored it. Finnally it got so bad that he went to the dentist, the dentist gave him some antibodics and told him his wisdom teeth where so rotin that they had become infected, and they would have to come out. So they set up on apointment to have the teeth out, and Corey took the antibodics. A week later his head became so swollen that Mom called Uncle Bill to ask what to do, he said to get him to the emergancy room now, he was about to leave for his house and take a pile that would help him sleep, Mom stoped him at the door and had to force him to go to the emergency room. He had to miss the Jackets game and Abbey had to go in his place. Today he had to have surgury to remove the infection that had spread to his neck. The doctor said that if he had waited just a few hours longer the infection would have spread to his heart and he would have died. He's okay now, but they say he'll have to relearn how to use his mouth again.
Hope your all doing okay up there

"If it's stupid enough, it's cool" . . . . . . . .Todd Rundgren
Ok, so I stole this quote from a previous post by pcj. Just listened to the song the quote introduces--Piss Aaron (not sure if I've got the spelling right.) if you've not heard it, do so.
The point is, though, give up your most embarrassing moment from high school.
So after everyone spills the beans, I'll tell, too.

A Sad Day for Michigan, Sad Day for Michigan, Sad Day for Michigan
Ohio State killed Michigan 42-7. Now I have to hear that "Don't care for Michigan" song, that's just sad. I thought Big Blue would put up a bigger fight then that. They finished the season 3-9. The worst in there history maybe. You know how I feel about Ohio State fans, Dee Dee, your team let me down. I even got yelled at today at work by the girl who works route 1. Your suppose to wear ether Ohio State our Michigan shirts on the day of the game, I of course showed up in a Blue Jackets Fleece cause they played today.

Trek Movie Criticised For Being Sexed Up
I don't think the critics have seen any Trek at all if they call this one sexed up. Oh well, just shows to go ya. Go to this Current link, then read the comments, pretty much says it all. Especially the one about Kirks (you know what) that should have been labeled a biological disaster with all the alien STDs he picked up.

The Wait is Almost Over
Now, we all know that Trek is in fact not dead. I am almost finished with my paper on the history and culture surrounding the Japanese puppet theater, so I thought I would take a little break and share what I found online. I didn't even know there were trailers out there yet, but hey look what i found. Enjoy, i think it looks amazing, really put a smile on my face. Scotty rocks!!

Dad's Secret Life
Apparently all of Dad's stories growing up about teaching George Brett everything he knows about baseball was true, cause the Royals just traded for him from Florida. Mike Jacobs hit 32 home runs last year, and the expect the same from Dad this year too. Dad can make $3.5 million next year too. But he isn't sharing.
Anybody ever play that Paper Mario game for the Wii. I just started level 4. The game is longer then it should be, the caracters talk about an hour every level, gets anoying a little bit.
Peace out everybody

Offset your carbon footprint

Not that we all have money to throw around, but I posted this story this morning and thought it was interesting. I thought Alli in particular would think so, too. :) Drury University is creating a fund where you can make a donation for the carbon footprint you create ($10 for every ton of carbon dioxide you produce) and the donations are distributed to local companies and people for projects that improve energy efficiency or reduce pollution. Kind of a neat concept, but I'm hoping the economy doesn't prevent it from working in reality. Here's a link to the full story.

The New Release On Youtube
"If it's stupid enough, it's cool" . . . . . . . .Todd Rundgren
Yes, I'm running this "Revenge" thing into the ground. But I needed a host for this small vid' for the other blog "Voices From The Time God." If you click on the time god pic, this video will show! One of those "Hide a Link" things. Whomever is in charge of this blog should look into it. Psssst, They got new gadgets!
I Googled "Time God" and amist all the jesus freak stuff, on about page 10, it revealed it's metalic head. I'm sure more than a few evangelists will freak when they watch "Time God Speech." But, , , , , isn't that the point?

Almost Done
Wow, I've been so busy with work and the Jackets that I forgot about my little countdown. Might as well finish it off now.
Numero Uno, the best of the best, none come after it, and none ever will, the funniest Monty Python Sketch ever. Another Cleese-Palin classic. The Cheese Shop.

It's about time I made a post, eh?

Sorry, just haven't had anything you might want to hear. Still don't as I doubt that there will be any takers, but should you enjoy Young Adult fiction, feel free to attend my first "author event" this coming Friday.
Susan Pfeffer, author of Life As We Knew It (the book the big green Alien is reading) and The Dead and the Gone, will be spending the day IN MY LIBRARY talking with MY STUDENTS this coming Friday! Yeah, baby!!
Life As We Knew It has spent some time on the Bestseller List, and the follow-up novel, The Dead & the Gone had a nice review in this weekend's New York Times Book Review
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/09/books/review/Green-t.html?_r=2&oref=slogin&oref=slogin
Anyway, I hope this is an adequate post. Wait! Maybe I should describe what the whole nervousness thing this event planning is doing to my innards! Do want to hear the details?
Ha! I thought not.

So long, Cassils
We kind of knew this was coming, but I got this from the Cassils mailing list today. :(
From the owner:
Dale, my family, and I would like to invite you to be our guests at a reception this Saturday, November 8, from 7 to 10pm.
For the past three and a half years it has been our pleasure to serve you here at Cassils Coffee Cafe. However, the extreme pressures of the current economic conditions have hindered our ability to continue offering you the quality and service you deserve and continue operations.
Therefore, we regret to inform you that Cassils will close at the end of the day Saturday, November 8th, 2008.
We appreciate the privilege you have given us to be part of your community. We have enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you very much for being a friend to Cassils and allowing us to get to know you.
BUMMER!
Dark Stuff
Here are some dark secrets from Capt. Kirk. I would have put them on the time god page but I haven't been invited yet.
