Logic VS Religion

Dad, this is pretty much for you.

A Tribute to the Old Back Yard

Well the old back yard is pretty much gone now.
Along with century old Oak trees, fresh air, and a lot of memories.

So I made a little short story piece and put it to video for a Current thing.

The music may seem awkward, but I wanted a "pissed off" type song.
Courtney Love pretty much fits that genre.
And it all comes together in the end.

Found a house - Moving in about a month!

Mykl and I found a house in Portland! Or rather, on Portland Street - in Springfield. Still, it's really exciting! Here are a few pictures from the real estate listing.

The house is near Rutledge Farm (near Sunshine and West Bypass for you Springfieldians out there). It's also really close to some Greenways bike trails and a creek. It's a three bedroom two bath that's about 9 years old - so hopefully it is fairly energy efficient due to insulation and newer appliances. A couple rooms need new paint (kitchen and bathroom), but overall not a lot of maintanance needed. Super excited about the big back yard - I have big plans for an organic garden next summer and a compost system this fall! And a PUPPY!

Carl Sagan - 'A Glorious Dawn' (Cosmos Remixed)

One of my hero's (Carl Sagan) has just released a new song, with some backup vocals by Stephen Hawking (another hero)

I would have to put this in the category of "Awesome," but that's just me.

    Enjoy!

    Kelly's new job

I got a job! I know I said that before, but that other job was a little sketchy, so I kept looking. Good thing too! I'm now a game tester at Nintendo.

This is a good way to pay the bills and still allow me to pursue my adventures. Plus, I have access to Nintendo merc and I get to find out about cool games before they're announced to the public. The bad news is I have to keep it a secret, sorry guys!

    Glenn Beck Insanity Continues...

Mykl and I are continually amazed by the utter stupidity of Glenn Beck. We like to keep an eye out for him because he is so damn unintentionally funny! He's frequently quoted on Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart. This is from several months ago, but has two of my favorite Glenn Beck moments and some pretty funny stuff from the Colbert Report.

    Enjoy!

    You Gotta Love Insanity

Im' not really into all the talking heads on the news these days with their political opinions and whatnot. But I do like to watch insanity in action,
and I've been hearing a lot about this guy lately, and now I see why. Remember, this is supposed to be NEWS.

Abbey & Dennis help Pop-Pop fix a bike

Here are some cute pictures of Abbey and Dennis that I finally got around to storing on my computer. They are pretty much self explanitory.
On a completely unrelated note, I went on a tour of the University's archives a couple of weeks ago. Since we are Wright State University we have a large collection of papers that deal with aviation history. One of the collections we have is the Walter Matthew Jefferies collection. Jefferies did a lot of work for Boeing and Lockheed-Martin but his real claim to fame is designing the original Starship Enterprise!!!
Of course we do not have those plans in our collection (they belong to Paramount) but we do have the work he did designing airplanes and other types of aircraft. Interesting that Star Trek would consult a designer of actual aircraft to create their fictional starship. From the research that I did he really put some thought into his design, he figured (for instance) that the engines were not safe enough to attach to the main cabin so he kept them seperate.
Well, enough weird info for one day. Back to homework!!!

    Half Done is not Done

Hey, I just finished recording half of my movie. I need to make space on my camera for the next half so I deleted some of my old videos. But before I delete them I figured I could share some of them. After watching this you'll see why I chose to delete them.

    Pure crap.

    Andy Richter is a genius

Make sure you check Ahhson's post below because it's more important, I just wanted to mention that Andy Richter destroyed at celebrity jeopardy, even up against Wolf Blitzer (whom was not so quick with the buzzer).

This was before final jeopardy, where they gave Wolf a pity $1000, and Andy ended up with $68,000. I expect nothing better from one of my heroes.

    ¡¡Vamos a comprar una casa!!

Mykl and I have exciting news!! (no I'm not pregnant - thank the gods) We just got financial approval to buy a house! We had been up in the air about whether or not to buy one yet, but found out that the $8,000 tax credit for first time home buyers can be applied as part of your downpayment. That combined with the super-low interest rates helped us decide that we should probably take advantage of free money and go for it. Just got a real estate agent working for us, and we should be out house shopping within the next week!

The very excitinig part of all of this is that having a house means that we will have a yard - which means I get a PUPPY!!! YEAH!!! I think I may be more excited about the puppy than the house. Not sure what kind we will get yet - I suppose it depends how big our yard is, and what kinds of puppies they have at the shelter. Super excited though!!

    U.S. Mint New Quarters

The U.S. Mint is going to do national park quarters in 2010. Gettysburg will be released in 2011. The Missouri one will be of the Ozark National Scenic River way. It will be out in 2017, if the world is still around then. Sounds pretty cool. Oh by the way, try not to shop at Wal-Mart if you don't have to. I don't really care about there labor issues, I mean everyone knows that Wal-Mart uses you, abuses you, then loses you, but there building one on the Gettysburg Battlefield, and another on the Wilderness battlefield. That's just the line.

Here is one for Riley, have you ever heard of "Script Ohio". They do it every halftime at The Shoe.

I still say the Marine Corps band is the best in the land. Presidents own after all.

The news is still being autotuned

    And it's still silly.

There's several of these now. How long until it's on a TV show?

    Here Comes Science

Yup, TMBG has a new kid's album about science. In this one, they promote such evil socialisms as environmentalism and evolution. Don't worry, I already mailed them a hundred Bibles with "The Only Real Science Textbook" written on the front.

This album seems to be on a higher level than the ones about ABCs and 123s, but that's to be expected. I'm guessing History's next up to bat.

Even if you thin electric cars are ridiculous or Satanic, this video is pretty.

This one is actually written by their bassist. It could probably be written to be about Anthropology, but I don't think anyone's interested in ants.
